REPRESENTING PLACE
PROJECT 1 - Capturing, Experiencing and Analyzing the Place
Re-presenting Place is an elective module, which aims to examine and explore the urban landscape through the act of research and exhibition. It emphasizes on the processes of experiencing, capturing, interpreting and re-presenting interesting places within the built environment into three dimensional works.
Proposed Site(s) for research study are within the city of Kuala Lumpur.
Project 2 - Interpreting and Representing Place
The aim of project is to interpret and translate our research into a visual representation and concept. In the previous Project and exercises, we were asked to plan, document and analyse data; in this project, we are required to extract an abstracted design or form that will represent the qualities and our perception about the place & theme. After the abstracted concept is finalize thru series of exploration, we are then required to translate and represent it into a form (a 3D wall artwork).
Creative work or production refers to the visualization of research and intangible qualities of place into something tangible ‘ form ‘ as representing the place, in an experimental manner that manifests and realizes our visualization.
